Welcome. AshleyChildTherapies offers a space for children, young people, adults and families to be supported to tap into their innate healing and resiliency abilities through building an experience of connectedness. AshleyChildTherapies uses a combination of relational, trauma specific, creative, sensory and body based interventions to support both family and individuals to establish wellbeing and healing after prolonged periods of stress, difficulties, or trauma and to support professionals in developing their practice.
Ashley Child Therapies specialises in working with children, young people, families and adults who have experienced abuse, neglect, and violence; and who experience difficulites in their mental health. Healing frameworks use trauma specific knowledge and relationships to increase sense of connection and safety, promote mind-body-brain and spirit integration, and decrease experiences of distress.
AshleyChildTherapies utilises a model of therapeutic care holds the importance of building family connection and cohesion for children and focuses on supporting the systems and adults around a child in developing a collaborative Care Team approach; where the aim is to nurture the child’s underlying needs, build their emotional regulation development, increase social and relational engagement, promote resilience, create confidence and positive self-esteem, and make space for learning.
Ashley also supports adults seeking treatment for the recovery around childhood abuse to heal their inner child, re-parent themselves, and re-discover their self worth, resiliency and build their inner resources .
Ashley is also the Principal Practitioner of Immrama: Holistic Trauma Healing Centre a collective private practice alongside Alys McLennan of MayakoshaHealing. Our approach supports all aspects of the person’s wellbeing (physical, social, relational, emotional, psychological, and spiritual). Our practitioners facilitate individual, family and group-based counselling that is both trauma informed and trauma specific. These services aim to support children, young people, families and adults who have experienced abuse, neglect, violent crimes, and all other forms of trauma. To enquire please contact us directly.
Clients are provided a range of choice and options in developing their therapeutic plan and interventions are tailored to the needs of the individual or family. note *I am registered with AASW and an approved NSW Victim Services Counsellor.
